Blessing Arrives at KK Children’s Home

April 29, 2014 by admin

A crowd gathered at the Kipkaren Children’s Home gate very early this morning. There was a buzz of anticipation and excitement in the air. Were wageni arriving? It certainly looked like it… all was in readiness to receive visitors. Greeting readiness

We heard the purr of a vehicle engine in the distance. It turned down the road leading to the children’s home. And then we saw the surprise. The vehicle was for us! Painted on the front of the vehicle were the words “Empowering Lives International”. Today’s blessing was a NEW VEHICLE FOR THE CHILDREN’S HOME!

Prayer for new van at CH gate

We are so thankful for this wonderful gift. The children and children’s home staff will now have safe transportation as they travel  – to secondary schools, to outreaches, to pick up visiting teams, and to purchase supplies.

After a time of celebration and everyone having a short ride in the new vehicle we all expressed our gratitude to God….by dedicating this vehicle to Him. As the children thanked God for this unexpected blessing all laid hands on the shiny new van and returned the gift back to the Giver. The children here know well “every good and perfect gift is from above, and comes down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow or turning” – James 1:17.Kids pray for van
