Volunteer at the ELI Office
At ELI, we are extremely thankful for the amazing opportunities God has opened for us to join with Him in bringing His hope to East Africa. It is a joy and honor to partner with Him as we provide training and resources to help people break the cycle of poverty and discover their importance in the eyes of God. Our Training Centers, schools, orphanages, and health services work together to accomplish our overall empowerment strategy. But all of these programs require a lot of work in our U.S. office - none of them would be possible without the countless hours of data entry, e-mails, phone calls, accounting, fundraising, marketing, coordination, and support that take place in our office every day. In light of all the work to be done here, we could use YOUR help!
You don’t have to travel to Africa to have a significant impact in advancing God’s Kingdom there! In fact, your support in our Upland, CA office is often the most valuable thing you can give to our work in Africa. We have a great team of nationals carrying out the ministry in Africa, but they need our US support. By donating time at our office or from your own workspace, you can help empower them to continue their valuable ministry!
Getting Started
Email Us: If you are interested in committing to spend time as an ELI volunteer in our office or from your own workspace, please fill out our Volunteer Application and e-mail it to getinvolved@empoweringlives.org.
Follow Up: After you apply, an ELI staff member will contact you and discuss the best fit for your schedule.
Action Steps
In the Office: As a volunteer in our office, you will be a crucial part of ensuring current projects are being completed in a timely fashion. Often this includes stuffing envelopes, assembling Child Sponsorship packets, inputting data into our database, answering phones, or assembling video footage. There are always new projects underway and we would love you to be a part of them.
From Your Own Workspace: We also have tasks that you can work on from your own computer at your home or office. If you do not live in the Southern California area, we would love to e-mail you information on certain projects you can work on right where you are!
In the Community: We would love for you to be an ambassador both inside and outside our office. Sometimes your job will include going out into the community to share the heart and vision behind ELI.
