Empowering Lives seeks to remove every obstacle that could
prevent the poor and oppressed in East Africa from knowing and serving God. As
is common in the developing world, this frequently means providing health care. ELI
has established clinics, programs, and trainings to treat those who are already
sick, to prevent the spread of common infectious diseases, as well as to teach
those who are able to provide the same care to those in their circles of
