Spiritual Development
ELI encourages every person to view their lives in light of the potential they have in Christ. In holistic spiritual development, it is important to recognize that Christ’s relationship with His children is integrated into all areas of life and not confined to spirituality. Local village pastors are the primary focus of this ministry. Many of them have little training, but large hearts for service. ELI is empowering pastors by teaching them to engage with the realities of their culture such as poverty, HIV/AIDS, and alcohol abuse. By addressing their physical as well as spiritual needs, ELI is providing a way for pastors to build a bridge into their communities. In this way, they are carrying out the mission of ELI.
