US Church Awareness and Partnership
As ELI responds to God’s call to incarnational ministry in East Africa, the challenge becomes learning to represent a changed worldview in Western culture. After over a decade of close interaction with African friends and partners, ELI’s message to the American Church is clear: There is much to be learned about our own poverty through interaction with those living in physical poverty in Africa. By sending short-term teams and interns and engaging in long-term partnerships with sending churches, ELI is fulfilling its mission to motivate and involve others to invest their gifts and lives in the realization of God’s Kingdom on earth.
