There is great reward when we embrace others in need and equip them with skills (not handouts) so that dignity and sustainability can be passed on to others!
Together we will demonstrate our commitment to empowering the poor by carrying what we can while we work, play, work out, walk, shop, or pray. You can do this alone or with your friends and family. Creating a campaign allows you the opportunity to demonstrate to the world you desire to take action and make a change!
Here’s how to maximize your impact:
Step 1—Create: Create your campaign by clicking the orange button. (If you do not have an account with us, please click the user icon 
Step 2—Demonstrate: Beginning September 21st, connect your campaign to your network with a visual display! Take pictures or video as you carry what you can while doing what you can: walk, work, pray, work out, etc. Then upload them to your social media pages or email them to friends in order to incite curiosity.
Step 3—Advocate: Share your campaign with others! Invite them to donate and carry the weight themselves. You are twice as likely to raise awareness and accomplish your campaign goal by sharing your campaign on your social media accounts. Tag a friend to start a campaign of their own and advance the movement with our hashtag: #letscarrytheirweight
A message from Don:
To all our ELI friends and partners, I am very excited to be able to Carry the Weight with you in the weeks to come. I wanted to give you a sneak peek at my plan to engage in this opportunity! Starting September 21st, as we launch our campaigns together, I’m going to carry four gallons of water with me everywhere I go. My goal is to carry the weight for 10,000 steps. Even if it takes several days, I will take the jugs with me, praying throughout this time and letting people know we can make a difference for others if we lift the weight. Then once I hit my 10,000 steps, I will pour out those gallons of water (onto my plants), symbolizing the weight being lifted! I look forward to seeing how you creatively Carry the Weight and what God does through this unique opportunity.
