Pastor Makori

Greetings, friends. I am grateful to God for you and the changes you have made possible in Cherengan’y, Kenya. My name is Makori, and I am a pastor and a farmer. Cherangan’y is rich because God has changed our village. He has heard our cries for peace and food, and He has answered. My farm is a sacred place where I share the knowledge of salvation through Jesus and skills on how to grow vegetables with any who listen. Because I share the message of God in my farm and church, I am not just a pastor and a farmer but a missionary to my people.

Seven days a week, people come to my farm to purchase produce. Since my last training with ELI, I have also trained 30 farmers. All who leave my farm are encouraged. They take seedlings and hope with them as they go. I pray daily to reach as many farmers as possible with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I even organized a crusade to reach out to the young people in Yatoi as I have seen even the youth need hope which can only be found in Jesus.
