Julie Magaju Leonie
Julie Magaju Leonie’s journey is a testament to resilience and transformation. She once struggled with a small charcoal business that barely made a profit. But in 2021, after attending The World Changers Program in DR Congo, her perspective began to shift! Through this program, her eyes were opened in a brand new way. She learned to identify opportunities around her and eventually transitioned into selling construction wood—something her growing neighborhood needed.
By sourcing raw materials from nearby villages and refining them into useful boards, Julie increased her profits and began reinvesting in her business. But her transformation wasn’t just financial. The World Changers Program also deepened her faith! “The training helped me strengthen my relationship not only with the Lord and others but also to place God at the center of my business,” Julie shared.
She realized that her business was not just a means to support her family, but a way to honor God. With this new perspective, she committed to running her business with integrity and generosity, knowing that it would be a blessing not just for her family, but for her entire community!
Her husband, once without stable work himself, joined her venture after witnessing her success and newfound peace. Their marriage was restored, their home rebuilt with the very wood she sells, and their future became brighter than ever before. Inspired by her own journey, Julie now shares what she learned with others, helping them crush poverty and build joyful, stable lives. “I shared the knowledge I received in the training with my relatives and neighbors, and they are putting it into practice and their lives also are becoming free from poverty. I can see the joy in their homes too,” she says, witnessing the ripple effect of transformation in her community.
Grateful for the program’s impact, Julie prays for supporters like you, knowing that your generosity is transforming lives. Every contribution, every effort to support programs like these, creates a ripple effect of lasting change—turning people’s mourning into dancing!
