In a world where hope often feels like a scarce commodity, ELI has had the special privilege of providing true hope and transforming lives—lives like Daniel’s, whose journey from struggle to success is nothing short of inspiring.

In 2022, Daniel graduated high school, burdened by the weight of his family's financial hardship. His dreams of further education were fading amidst the harsh realities of poverty. But then, through the support of Empowering Lives International, Daniel's story took a pivotal turn!

Daniel’s mother, Esther Keino, expressed her concerns: "I was worried about my son's future. He had finished school, but with our financial struggles, I didn't know how he would move forward. When I learned about the ELI Woodshop training, I saw it as an opportunity for him."

Through the generosity and support of people like you, ELI was able to offer Daniel a chance—a chance to learn, grow, and thrive as a student in our Woodshop Training Program. Under the mentorship and teaching of Aggrey Mudenge, Daniel's potential began to bloom. With each carefully crafted piece of furniture, Daniel honed his skills and found a renewed sense of purpose. The frustration and uncertainty that once clouded his future were replaced by craftsmanship, confidence, and determination.

"My time at ELI's woodshop was a game-changer," Daniel recalls with gratitude. "It gave me the skills and the belief in myself to start my own business."

And start he did! With the life-changing skills he acquired, Daniel ventured into entrepreneurship, creating beautiful furniture that captured the hearts of his community. Soon after, an unexpected opportunity arose—a position at Living Room International Hospital, where he could contribute his talents and continue his growth journey.

Through God’s grace and the support of our ELI family, Daniel has been empowered to break free from the grip of poverty and embrace a life filled with promise and possibility. He has found a path to inspire others, and his story reminds us of the profound impact that even small acts of generosity can have. When many of us come together to give, pray, and care, we create a ripple effect of hope and transformation that extends far beyond our expectations!
