Nancy Kimeli
Imagine Nancy, after becoming a bride, finding the responsibility of “provider” falling onto her shoulders and not being able to keep up with the demands. Before long, she found herself falling further into a financial hole, unable to afford proper clothing or school fees for her children. Her only source of income was selling Chang’aa, which grew from a small operation into a full-blown, though unprofitable business producing over 70 liters of alcohol a day. She was trapped in a cycle of illegally brewing, barely hanging on financially, tarnishing her reputation, and destroying her self-worth . . . but this is not where Nancy’s story ends!
In 2018, through God’s provision, Nancy was given the opportunity to attend a training organized by ELI specifically for brewers. This was a life changing session—during which Nancy found salvation and met Jesus, marking a major turning point in her life! She went home, threw out her entire stock of alcohol, and trusted Jesus with her future.
Through this bold and eternal decision, Nancy’s life was restored. She exclaimed, “I started small, but God has brought me to where I am today. I have gone from selling a few vegetables to owning my own sheep. God has truly blessed me!”
Nancy now shines with the love of Jesus, embodying the hope found in Psalm 30:11, “You have turned my mourning into joyful dancing.” She regularly attends church and has now been given the great honor of becoming a village elder—a groundbreaking achievement for a woman in her village.
Nancy is truly a World Changer, inspiring those around her with her unwavering faith and determination to see others experience their mourning turned to dancing.
