Pastor Mengich
Pastor Mengich's life journey is a testament to divine intervention and the transformation that takes place when you say yes to God. From a high school dropout to a youth leader who battled addiction, his story is one of redemption and resilience! Despite years of immense struggle, God restored and transformed him into an Evangelist and Sunday school teacher, equipped with the invaluable skillset of training children to become World Changers.
This journey from outcast to respected leader was not an easy one, but God guided each step that Pastor Mengich took. Eventually, he was led to an encounter with Edna, one of our ELI Sunday School trainers. The impact of this meeting was profound, and Mengich was soon invited to a training himself—empowering him to use his God-given gifts and ultimately change his life forever.
Despite facing resistance from church leadership and questioning if he was on the right path, Pastor Mengich remained faithful and continued to grow in his teaching skills, spread the word of God, and even begin to train Sunday school teachers himself, igniting a movement that reached hundreds of children!
His dedication led to the formation of a powerful partnership with the ELI Children's Ministry, resulting in annual VBS camps, teacher training, and even at-home Sunday schools during the COVID-19 pandemic. His unwavering commitment caught the attention of many, and he became a local leader, guiding others to fulfill ELI's mission of seeing poverty crushed and HOPE ignited.
Today, Pastor Mengich's impact extends to hundreds of households, with many finding faith and purpose because of his influence. As partners in his journey, we stand in awe of his faith, grateful for your role in empowering the lost to say YES to Jesus!
“All these transformations I have witnessed are by God’s doing through ELI. So many families have heard about and know God! Together, we are World Changers.” - Pastor Mengich
