Flovia Chepngetich

Flovia Chepngetich is stepping confidently into a future she once only imagined! After graduating from high school in 2024, she enrolled at Shamberere Polytechnic College to pursue a Certificate in Food and Beverage, opening the door to new experiences, new responsibilities, and new opportunities to grow. Today, she is completing her internship training at Lukoba Resort in Kenya, where she is quickly earning a reputation as a hardworking and capable young professional. 

Whether she is assisting guests, preparing meals, or working in the coffee shop, Flovia approaches every task with enthusiasm and a desire to learn. Her supervisors have praised her adaptability, strong work ethic, and positive attitude. She has even found ways to use her training to serve others, helping guests make healthy food choices and teaching children how to swim during her time at the resort. 

What makes Flovia’s journey especially remarkable is the confidence she has developed along the way. Once quiet and reserved, she now serves as a class representative at college and actively participates in the Christian Union. She has embraced opportunities to lead, encourage her peers, and strengthen her faith while balancing the demands of school and practical training. 

The foundation for that growth was built during her years at Kipkaren Children’s Home. Through the care, guidance, and support made possible by ELI partners and sponsors, Flovia was equipped not only with an education, but with the confidence to pursue her goals and the character to lead others. As she prepares for the next chapter of her career, she is proving that perseverance, faith, and opportunity can open doors to a future filled with possibility.
