Following the path God has for us often leads to unexpected blessings and support from others—a beautiful glimpse of the Father’s providence. Joyce’s story is a shining example of this truth!

Although Joyce’s journey began with deep challenges, losing her sibling and parents at a young age, she soon found hope in the care and support of her ELI family. For nine years, Joyce lived at the Ilulla Children’s Home, where she was nurtured by loving house parents who guided her in faith, hope, and healing. Over time, God truly turned her mourning into dancing!

Eventually, through opportunities provided by the Children’s Home, Joyce began to excel not only emotionally and spiritually, but also academically. This continued for years until Joyce’s educational path led her to Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital School of Nursing, where she worked tirelessly to fulfill her dream of becoming a nurse. After completing an internship and securing a residency, that dream was fulfilled as she graduated with her nursing license!

For years, Joyce applied her knowledge and skills to serve the sick and vulnerable, honoring God through her work. Now, she’s thrilled to share that she has landed her “dream job” as a Nurse Officer at Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital! For Joyce, this is more than a career; it’s fulfilling God’s plan for her life—a life of service, compassion, and purpose.

As she reflects on her journey so far, Joyce expresses heartfelt gratitude to ELI for their unwavering support throughout her college years, saying, “They believed in me when I needed it most, allowing me to pursue my passion and become the nurse I am today. Thanks to them, I am living proof that dreams do come true and that with God, anything is possible.”
