Kevin Matasio

Kevin Matasio, a talented alumni from our Ilula Children’s Home, knows what it’s like to have your life take a strong and unexpected turn. When he graduated from high school, Kevin was certain he would study electrical engineering, find a decent job, and build a steady life. However, God had other plans in store! 

Though he initially desired the “safe” route, there was a God-given passion that had been building in Kevin’s life. That passion was music. So, through honing his skills and discovering a desire to be in the music industry, he leaned into his talent as a music producer. Soon after this discovery, Kevin gained support from Empowering Lives International and was able to switch his career path from electrical engineering to music production at Vitex Media Institute.

Erick, the owner of Vitex Media Institute, quickly recognized the talent Kevin possessed. Not wanting to miss the opportunity, he immediately offered Kevin a job after his graduation in 2019. Now, Kevin has not only excelled in music production, but has branched into teaching, deejaying, and videography. In fact, today Kevin is even a co-owner of Vitex Media Institute!

Kevin had this to share when asked about his journey so far: “Since childhood, I’ve always wanted to be a musician and to have a family of my own. Now, thanks to God, I am living that dream and more! I am a successful producer, a proud husband to my wife Dina, and a loving father to my daughter Kristen.”

Kevin’s journey is a true testament to what can happen when you follow your God-given passion and never give up on your dreams, no matter how long or winding the road may be. We can’t wait to see what he does next!
