Sydney Kiprotich
Sydney Kiprotich’s story is a powerful example of what can happen when a child is given the opportunity to dream beyond their circumstances. Raised in our Kipkaren Children’s Home, Sydney grew up surrounded by a forever family who invested in his future and reminded him that his life had purpose. Through their encouragement, your support, and God’s faithfulness, he pursued his education and graduated in December 2025 with a Diploma in Social Work and Community Development.

Today, Sydney has come full circle. He now serves at Encouragement Children’s Home in Bungoma County, where he helps care for 46 children who, like him, have experienced abandonment, loss, and hardship.
Drawing from his own childhood experiences, Sydney offers the children hope and understanding, showing them that their current challenges do not define their future.
His work extends far beyond daily caregiving. Sydney advocates for vulnerable children in court, helps secure birth certificates and school records, and partners with social services to ensure each child receives the protection and support they need. One moment that stands out to him is welcoming an abandoned toddler into the home after the child was brought from court. Through patience, care, and compassion, he watched the frightened child begin to feel safe and loved—a reflection of the same care he once received himself.
Sydney’s journey from orphan to advocate is a testament to the lasting impact of our Children’s Homes and the faithful partners who make it possible. Because someone chose to invest in him, Sydney is now investing in the lives of children who need hope most, helping transform broken beginnings into futures filled with purpose.
