LEONARD KIPROP
Leonard's journey with ELI began in 2005, when he was welcomed into our Ilula Children’s Home and embraced by a loving forever family. There, he thrived in a nurturing environment that not only provided an education, but encouraged him to strive for success!
This encouragement played a key role in Leonard’s educational endeavors, as he struggled to succeed at first. However, despite these challenges, Leonard never gave up. Year after year, through the support and motivation of his family and peers, Leonard’s determination paid off and he began to see progress. Eventually, he not only completed primary and high school, but excelled in college as well, earning a degree in Plant Operations.
Then, when opportunities in his field were limited upon graduation, Leonard turned to his brother, a skilled construction worker, for guidance. Through hard work and mentorship, he honed his skills and became a subcontractor on various projects. Eventually, Leonard’s dedication and potential caught the attention of a head contractor, who provided him with leadership opportunities that would change the course of his future.
Today, Leonard not only builds homes, but transforms lives through his work, mentorship, and faith. As the sole provider for his wife, Khadija, and their two children, Jayden and Ishmael, he takes pride in caring for his family and guiding them spiritually, all while pursuing his passion for construction with enthusiasm and dedication.
Leonard’s story exemplifies how determination and faith can help us overcome any obstacle, reflecting the values instilled in him by his ELI family and his relationship with Christ. We can’t wait to see how God continues to empower lives and ignite World Changers through Leonard!
