Nickson Butiya

From a young age, Nickson displayed a strong determination to succeed. He attended Brook of Faith Academy for his primary education, where he excelled academically. When the time came for him to take the Kenya National Examination for primary education, his dedication paid off, and he achieved outstanding results! This success earned him a place at SDA SEGERO High School, a prestigious national school known for its strong spiritual foundation and academic excellence.

At SDA SEGERO, Nickson’s faith deepened, and his relationship with God grew stronger. The school's commitment to spiritual growth, including Bible studies and a focus on God’s word, resonated deeply with him. These teachings became a guiding force in his life, shaping his character and aspirations. 

Then, in 2018, Nickson sat for his Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) and earned an impressive grade. This achievement secured him a place at Kisii University in 2019, where he pursued a Bachelor’s degree in Education, specializing in Mathematics and Physics. For four years, he dedicated himself to his studies, and in 2023, he graduated with pride. It was a joyous moment for everyone who had supported him, as they witnessed the fruits of his perseverance and determination.

After graduation, he began his teaching career at Joy Spring Academy in Nairobi, gaining valuable experience while awaiting his posting from the Teachers Service Commission. Eventually, the long-awaited news arrived—Nickson had secured a teaching position at Lower Kipkaren Junior School!

He now teaches integrated science to 150 eager students, sharing the knowledge and expertise he had gained over the years. His lessons always begin with prayer and words of encouragement, setting a positive and uplifting tone for his students. Through the love and support of Kipkaren Children’s Home, the dedication of his sponsors, and his own hard work, Nickson has become a World Changer. He is shaping young minds, inspiring them to dream big, and empowering them to achieve their goals. We praise God for his incredible journey!
