Victor Nyiguri

Before Victor became a part of our ELI family, his life was filled with desperation, uncertainty, and heartache.
After tragically losing his parents when he was just 8 years old, he was left orphaned and in the care of his elderly grandmother, who was living on a small piece of land with limited resources. Despite her best efforts, Victor’s grandmother found it difficult to provide for him. However, everything changed when she connected with ELI, heard about the Kipkaren Children’s Home, and discovered an opportunity that would change Victor’s life forever.

Soon after this discovery, Victor officially joined the Kipkaren Children’s Home and was immediately welcomed into a safe and nurturing environment where he was surrounded by caring parents and siblings who showed him the love of Jesus. With the spiritual and academic guidance he received, Victor quickly began to excel both in and out of the classroom. He was finally free from the anxiety and despair that used to overwhelm him, and he had found a renewed sense of purpose for his life!  

Victor continued to grow and thrive over the years, being encouraged and empowered by those around him to follow God’s plan for his life. Eventually, after completing his studies and beginning life as an independent adult, he discovered a God-given talent and passion for cutting glass. This incredible skill ultimately landed him a job at a prestigious glazier shop in Eldoret, Kenya, where he was able to do what he had been encouraged to for so long—follow God’s plan! Victor found immense satisfaction and success in this new field, using his earnings to support himself, cover rent, and even help his extended family. “Looking back on my journey, I can’t help but express gratitude towards my sponsors for their unwavering support during my education, as well as my ELI family for raising me in a way that instilled a deep love for God within me.”

Through his relentless work ethic and resilience, Victor embodies the qualities of a true World Changer, utilizing his talents and experiences not only to improve his own life but also to uplift and empower those around him. His story is a testament to the power of hard work and determination in achieving one's dreams, and shows us what is possible through the faithful support of people like you!
