David Wanjala
From a very young age, David faced heartbreaking challenges. After losing his parents, David and his two siblings were taken in by their great-great-grandmother. Despite her deep love for them, the burden was great and daily needs were often unmet. Food and clothing were scarce, and the weight of poverty was heavy, but even in the midst of this hardship, hope remained. Then, God opened a new door! After hearing about their desperate need, our Kipkaren Children’s Home team welcomed David and his siblings into the home. This marked the beginning of a new chapter, one filled with healing, stability, and transformation. Surrounded by loving house parents and new friends, David began to open up! This shy, fearful boy slowly blossomed into a kind, confident young man.
David’s spiritual transformation has been just as powerful. Since his baptism on February 12th, 2025, a quiet strength has taken root in his heart. He now dances joyfully during church, confidently recites Bible verses, and radiates peace that only God can give! In school, David is also making steady progress. He reads and writes well and dreams of becoming a doctor one day, hoping to help others just as ELI helped him. In his free time, he loves crafting toy cars out of wires and wood, letting his creativity and imagination shine.
David’s journey is a testimony to what love, faith, and consistent care can do in a child’s life. His story is only just beginning, and because of your generous support, prayers, and belief in his potential, he has the chance to dream big and grow strong!
