Lameck Kimutai
Born in a small Kenyan village, Lameck Kimutai faced great hardship from a young age after losing his mother, who raised him and his siblings alone. After this tragedy, Lameck and his siblings were cared for by their elderly grandparents. Though they did all they could, it was a struggle to provide for them amid deep poverty and illness. When Lameck’s grandfather heard about Kipkaren Children’s Home, he knew this was an opportunity he couldn’t ignore. So, they walked there together, desperate and searching for hope.
That visit changed everything! Lameck was soon welcomed into the Children’s Home, where he found stability, love, and the chance to dream again. For the first time, he had his own bed, regular meals, and a growing community. His joy multiplied when his younger sister, Lyne, joined him later that year—a reunion that filled his heart with hope!
Today, Lameck is a confident young leader who radiates joy and purpose. He excels in school, ranking among the top in his class, and is a standout volleyball player known for his teamwork and discipline. Beyond academics and sports, Lameck’s faith has also become the cornerstone of his life. He now leads prayers, shares God’s Word during devotions, and encourages his peers with compassion and courage.
From arriving shy and uncertain to becoming a strong, faith-filled role model, Lameck’s life is a beautiful picture of transformation. Through the care of his ELI family and the support of his sponsors, he is becoming exactly what he was created to be . . . a confident, empowered World Changer!
