Justus Kiplagat joined our Kipkaren Children’s Home in 2006 when he was just 9 years old. From the very day he arrived, everyone around him could tell that he was an incredibly sharp and talented young man. He excelled in academics, sports, and even found a passion for fixing things at a young age. While at the Children’s Home, Justus would constantly be looking for ways to use this God-given talent of his. Whether it was fixing pipes, electric faults, or musical instruments, Justus was the man for the job. He would even be asked to fix lights or small issues around his high school! Whenever a problem arose, Justus was ready to solve it.

Because God gives us the desire of our hearts, Justus was able to enroll in a certificate course for Electrical Engineering at Emining Technical Training Institute, which he should complete in July of 2023. He is consistently working to improve his skills and build a successful future! Once his course is complete, Justus hopes to find a job as an Electrical Engineer so he can continue to help those in his community. He is even participating in an internship at Kabarak University, one of the best Universities in Kenya, where he has the opportunity to hone his craft and make valuable connections. We are confident that Justus’ future is very bright!

When reflecting on how far he has come, Justus had this message to share:  “I have always loved God, and I know that every good thing that has happened in my life is because of Him. Through God’s goodness and my ELI family, I have been able to change my life and the lives of others. I pray that God will continue taking me to greater heights, helping me in my career, and guiding me to be the best version of myself.”

Justus is truly a World Changer, and we can’t wait to see where the Lord leads him next. May God bless Justus and the work of his hands!
